Mc Donald's Greenville North Town Celebrates More Than 25 Years In The Community

Wednesday, July 09, 2014

On Monday, North Town McDonald's, part of the Scott Family McDonald's franchise, will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their rebuild in that location, stated Karen Kelly, director of marketing and community relations for Scott Family McDonald's.

North Town McDonald's in Greenville is just one of 14 Scott Family McDonald's locations, Kelly noted, and they are constantly evolving to meet customer demands and keep satisfaction high, she added. The store recently went through a remodel, putting in a double drive-thru to reduce wait times and keep up with customer demand, Kelly said; in recent years, they have also completely revamped the look and feel of the inside of the store, adding a more sophisticated and updated feel to the space, she shared.

Along with keeping their customers happy, Scott Family McDonald's have been vested in their communities since their start in 1987, Kelly shared. The company remains involved with the schools and communities, as well as Chambers of Commerce, Kelly said, because the community is the backbone of the company, not only when it comes to their customer-base, but also their employee-base, she said.

"Recently, we've been expanding our focus to support the community of Greenville, which has always embraced McDonald's," Kelly commented. "The Scott family owns both Greenville locations, and we have such great employees at both locations."

Scott Family McDonald's support their community by donating product and coupons for product, as well as holding fundraisers in-store to support teaching staff with their McTeachers Night. Along with this, they support school reward programs such as Student of the Month and the Ray Kroc Award, given to a senior from each of the 25 school districts in the Scott Family McDonald's service area, Kelly stated.

"For Benny Scott, Jr., it's not just about owning and running the business," Kelly said. "The community is what makes it what it is, both because of our customers and our employees. We're so grateful to have the best of both, it just makes sense to give back. The more we're able to, the more we're going to give back."

Join North Town McDonald's on Monday at 11 a.m. for a ribbon cutting and flag raising ceremony; Ronald McDonald is expected to make an appearance, as well.
