Winning Dunkin' Donut Creation Now In Stores

(Wednesday, August 26, 2009) - "Toffee for Your Coffee," the winning entry from Dunkin' Donuts' donut creation contest, is now available at participating shops nationwide through Oct. 6. Toffee for Your Coffee is a sour cream cake donut topped with glaze and chopped Heath Bar crafted by contest-winner Jeff Hager of Hoover, Ala.

"Toffee for Your Coffee" was officially revealed as the winning donut on National Donut Day, June 5. As the grand prize winner, Hagar received $12,000 along with the opportunity to have his donut sold in participating Dunkin' Donuts shops throughout the country. Twelve contest finalists, including Hagar, received $1,200 and traveled to Dunkin' Donuts' University in Massachusetts for a bake-off presided over by the Dunkin' Donuts' culinary team and company leaders, along other culinary experts.

"Throughout the 'Create Dunkin's Next Donut' contest we were constantly amazed and inspired by the number of entries and the passion people have for donuts," said Stan Frankenthaler, executive chef, Dunkin' Brands. "Toffee for Your Coffee stood out as a creative and delicious treat that we're proud to share with Dunkin' Donuts fans everywhere."
