Wahoo's Looks To Add Franchises

Wahoo's Fish Taco said it plans to add 100 franchise locations by 2014, including at least 15 in California.

Wahoo's is based in Santa Ana and its restaurants are heavily concentrated in Orange County. It has locations in Encinitas, La Jolla and Rancho Bernardo.

The chain said it tapped Tom Orbe, who owns a franchised Wahoo's in Temecula, as the vice president of the new franchise program.

Wahoo's said it hopes to sign five franchisees in California initially and an additional 10 by the end of the year.
