Marriott Launches Global Rate Break

(Thursday, May 21, 2009) - Marriott is offering a 20 per cent discount on room rents in more than 2,500 participating Marriott hotels or resorts across the globe under its 'Global Rate Break' package.

Holidayers can grab the offer at 10 of the company's brands spanning a broad range of accommodations and services – luxury to moderately priced, said a top official.

These include JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts; Marriott Hotels & Resorts; Renaissance Hotels & Resorts; Courtyard by Marriott; SpringHill Suites by Marriott; Residence Inn by Marriott; Fairfield Inn by Marriott; TownePlace Suites by Marriott; Marriott Vacation Club and Grand Residences by Marriott.

To avial the offer, customers have to make the reservations by June 2 for weekend stays between May 21 and September 7 on marriott.com/globalratebreak and use promo code F5X, or call 1-877-MARRIOTT.

"We've offered some great ways for you to save over the years, but this is one of the best and truly global values ever," said JW Marriott, Jr. chairman and CEO, Marriott International.

"It's all about making it easy and affordable for people around the world to take a break because we know they want to and that's what they told us," he added.

The 20 per cent Global Rate Break is available any day of the week at participating resorts worldwide and hotels in the Middle East and Africa, and Marriott Vacation Club and Grand Residences by Marriott resorts.

It is also available during weekends (Thursday – Sunday) at participating hotels in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Caribbean and Latin America.
