Eagle Boys Celebrates Australia Day

(Friday, January 23, 2009) - Eagle Boys Pizza is celebrating Australia Day with its Aussie Lamb Pizza, available during the holiday for $4.95.

Celebrated each year on Jan. 26, Australia Day marks the start of British colonization of the continent in 1788.

Eagle Boys expects to sell more than 100,000 pizzas during the holiday, using more than 5,700 pounds of lamb. The average Australian eats around 24 pounds of lamb every year.

Customers who order online in January will automatically be entered into a drawing to win $5,000.

Eagle Boys Pizza operates more than 250 franchised stores throughout Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
