Robert Moore Named Executive Vice President Of Technical Services & New Construction For Accor North America

(Wednesday, January 14, 2009) - Accor North America, one of the largest hotel chain owner and operators in North America, announces the promotion of Robert Moore to executive vice president - technical services and new construction, for Accor North America. In his new position, Moore will continue to lead all new construction, capital investments, maintenance, safety and sustainable development for Accor North America's Motel 6, Studio 6, Novotel and Sofitel brands in North America.

Moore's duties include leading Motel 6's first new construction project in eight years as well as the development of the brand's new "Phoenix" prototype – which broke ground last month in Dallas. Moore is responsible for leading the company's upcoming new construction projects and executing the extensive nationwide renovation process of Motel 6 properties to the exciting new Motel 6 room design.

Moore joined Accor in 1987, and was responsible for technical services in the United Kingdom, Belgium and Holland. Between 1997 and 2000, he was responsible for delivering Accor UK's new construction projects – an aggressive roll-out program of new hotels costing more than $500 million. He joined Accor North America in 2000, and in 2007, he was promoted to senior vice president of technical services. Prior to Accor, Moore worked for Cunard Shipping and Four Seasons Hotels. He studied mechanic and marine engineering at Liverpool.
