Travis Steps Down At Papa John's

Papa John's president and chief executive officer Nigel Travis is resigning effective Dec. 30, the company has announced. Founder John Schnatter will serve as interim CEO while the company's board searches for a permanent successor. Travis took over as Papa John's CEO in 2005. He is leaving the company to pursue another opportunity, according to a news release. "We appreciate all that Nigel has done for the company over the last four years," said Norborne Cole, Papa John's lead director. "Papa John's has made progress in several key areas during Nigel's tenure, including international expansion and growing our online leadership position in the pizza category."
