All Hail The Noodle Slurping Competition Champ!

(Wednesday, November 12, 2008) - Congrats to David Asman, winner of our 2nd annual Noodle Slurping Competition in honor of the Chinese Year of the Pig. Asman was the fastest speed-eater to conquer a heaping bowl of Chinese Lo Mein noodles and a pile of Edamame in record time. Asman, a chemistry major from UGA, said this was his, "First organized, competitive eating contest, but I've had my training in various social circles." The grand prize included a $100 gift card, Bodyplex gym membership and bragging rights for a year. An honorable mention goes to Nathan Gruber, who was the runner-up two years in a row.
