The 64 suite 'The Bentley Hotel', located near Gloucester Road tube station would be converted into a deluxe property under the Hilton's Waldorf Astoria brand and the 112-room 'Court House Hotel' near Regent Street would come under Hilton company's Doubletree brand umbrella.
Bentley will be the second hotel of Hilton's luxury marque to open in Europe, following one in Rome. The original is a New York landmark.
The Court House, located in the heart of the city, was originally a Magistrate's Court, which was converted into a beautiful high class hotel by Joginder Sanger.
A spokesman of the hotel told PTI last night that the deal with Hilton, which came into effect from October 1, is a franchise arrangement and the properties would continue to be run by the Sanger family, using the new brands. Earlier both the hotels were branded by Kempinski, the German hotelier, which withdrew from the properties.
