Cici's Names Shaker Showdown Winner

(Monday, October 06, 2008) - Lance Hines, a board shaker for a CiCi's restaurant in Oklahoma City, has won the $250 grand prize in CiCi's summer Shaker Showdown.

Board shakers hold signs near busy streets advertising CiCi's. Shakers employ a variety of dance and board-shaking moves to better attract attention.

CiCi's Shaker Showdown corresponded with the debut of the company's shaker backpacks earlier this summer. Custom designed for CiCi's Pizza, the backpacks hold a pennant measuring approximately 16 inches wide by 45 inches tall.

Their introduction followed CiCi's successful campaign introducing Yo Roto, a brand ambassador who combined the arts of break-dancing and shaker boarding.

Five runners up from stores in Dallas; Cincinnati; Orange City, Fla.; Mooresville, N.C.; and Goshen, Ind., all won new iPods.
