Del Taco Kicks Off Corporate Partnership With Arizona Cardinals

(Friday, August 22, 2008) - Del Taco, the nation's No. 2 Mexican quick serve chain, today announced the company's partnership with the Arizona Cardinals Football Club. This deal is a first for Del Taco, which operates or franchises more than 30 restaurants in the Phoenix area and 500 throughout 14 states.
For Del Taco, the partnership allows the company to reach Cardinals fans through its in-stadium presence as well as in-store promotions. Among those will be a special "Tickets for Tacos" promotion through which fans can bring their Cardinals ticket stub to participating locations and receive a free Classic taco after all home game wins. Last season the Cardinals were victorious in six of their eight regular season home contests. Del Taco will also advertise on the Cardinals Radio Network and offer in-store promotions.
The 2008 season will be the Cardinals' third at University of Phoenix Stadium, voted as the National Football League's top venue in each of the last two years. Led by head coach Ken Whisenhunt and stars like Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Adrian Wilson, Matt Leinart, Kurt Warner, and Edgerrin James, the Cardinals are looking to build upon the momentum of an 8-8 record in 2008, their best mark since 1998.
