Olivier Poirot Joins Accor Worldwide Executive Committee

(Thursday, September 11, 2008) - On September 1, Gilles Pelisson, director and chief executive officer of Accor worldwide, announced the addition of four new executives to the Accor Executive Committee. Olivier Poirot, in addition to his current responsibilities as CEO of Accor North America and Motel 6/Studio 6, was appointed to the worldwide Accor Executive Committee, which oversees the company's services and portfolio of more than 3,800 hotels in 90 countries.



"To improve our ability to successfully meet the challenges of the future, I have decided, in agreement with the Board of Directors, to strengthen and enhance the Executive Committee," said Pelisson. "Olivier Poirot is joining the Executive Committee after an excellent start as head of Motel 6/Studio 6 for the United States, Canada and Mexico and of the Accor North America corporate functions."

Poirot joined Accor in 1992, and has held finance positions in the United States since 2001. Since 2007, he has been president and chief executive officer of Accor North America and chief executive officer of Motel 6 and Studio 6, covering the geographic regions of the USA, Canada and Mexico.



Others appointed include: Oswaldo Melantonio Filho Chief Operating Officer, Accor Services Brazil; Jean-Luc Chrétien Executive Vice President, Hotel Distribution , in charge of sales, the Internet and call centers, as well as the new customer loyalty program; Pascal Quint Corporate Secretary and Secretary of the Board of Directors, in charge of Legal Affairs, Insurance and Risk Management, Security/Safety Management as well as of ensuring the efficient functioning of the Group's corporate governance bodies.
