There are currently 800 companies in the running to gain the first McDonald's franchise agreement for Kosovo.

(Monday, September 01, 2008) - American fast-food giant McDonald's is planning on expanding its franchise into Kosovo.

There are currently 800 companies in the running to gain the first McDonald's franchise agreement for Kosovo.

At the moment Kosovo and Albania are the only two countries in the region where McDonalds does not operate. It is hoped that McDonalds franchising in the country will encourage other US companies to invest in Kosovo as well.
