Bruegger's Inks New Development Agreement For Tampa

(Sunday, August 24, 2008) - Bruegger's Enterprises, Inc. announced a new development agreement with S.S.S. Properties, Inc. to open three new bakeries in Tampa beginning in late 2008. S.S.S. Properties is owned and operated by brothers Nimesh and Bhavesh Desai.

"We got our start with Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin Robbins in New York," said Nimesh. "When our family made the decision to move to Florida, we sold our stores and started researching other franchise opportunities. Many of Florida's residents are from the North and are fans of Bruegger's great menu and warm atmosphere, so we're confident about our success in the market."

S.S.S. Properties plans to open the first bakery by December, another in spring 2009 and a third in fall 2009. There are preliminary plans for additional bakeries beyond the initial three.

"We are very excited about our growth in Tampa," Bruegger's CEO Jim Greco said. "Nimesh and Bhavesh have a strong business and food service background that we believe will be a formula for success as we begin our expansion into Tampa."
