New Franchise Wants To Give Moms A Real Workout

(Sunday, August 17, 2008) - Moms who need help getting back in shape after having children have a new advocate in town.

It's called Stroller Strides.

The franchise-based company has grown to 800 locations nationwide, and Laurie Hull owns the rights locally.

Hull said a growing number of moms are taking her classes, which involve strength exercises and power walks with strollers.

The cost is $50 a week for four one-hour sessions; $40 for two sessions. The workouts take place at Woodway Park near Estates Drive.

Hull also has been a fitness instructor for 12 years.
