Jip Aims For Pan India Franchise For Papa Johns

(Monday, July 14, 2008) - JIP Fashion & Restaurants Pvt Ltd aims to increase its franchise for the American pizza brand Papa Johns for the entire Indian market. The company presently owns the franchise of the brand for the Western and Southern markets of India.

Sudesh Singh, Business Head- West India, JIP Fashion & Restaurants Pvt Ltd says, "We aim for the franchise across India and are trying to acquire the same by end 2008"�. Post the acquisition of the franchise for the brand for the Indian market, the company will concentrate on increasing the presence of the brand in India. The company has targeted 2011 to establish the brand in India and will open about 100 outlets across India. For the expansion of the brand, it has earmarked an investment of about Rs 250 Crore for the next four years.

JIP has also acquired the franchise for The Great Kebab Factory (TGKF) for the West and the South Indian market. "TGKF hasn"™t got the positioning right within the market and we plan to develop the brand within the food segment here,"� adds Singh. Besides, the company is also set to introduce Chilli's.
