More Arby's Are Planned For San Antonio

(Friday, June 20, 2008) - Arby's Restaurant Group Inc., the master-franchise company for the Arby's brand, has inked a development agreement with businessman Dennis Wells that will allow him to open four more restaurants in Austin and San Antonio.

Wells already operates 24 Arby's throughout the state. Financial terms of the extended franchise agreement were not disclosed. A timeline has not yet been set for when the new stores would open.

Arby's executives said Friday that a total of 35 new restaurants will be opened in 13 states, including the four in San Antonio and Austin.

Arby's president and chief operating officer, Tom Garrett, says the momentum generated by these new stores falls in line with the company's national expansion goals.

Atlanta-based Arby's Restaurant Group is a subsidiary of Triarc Cos. Inc. (NYSE: TRY, TRY.B). There are 3,700 Arby restaurants in the United States and Canada, including 1,100 that are company owned and operated.

Arby's has 10 restaurants in San Antonio.

Founded in 1964, Arby's sells roast beef sandwiches, deli-style sandwiches, toasted subs, wraps and salads.
