Handyman Franchise Coming To The St. Louis Region

ST. LOUIS (Monday, May 19, 2008) - A mobile home repair and maintenance franchise will soon be adding service to the greater St. Louis area.

Mr. Handyman will establish eight locations throughout the metro area within the next two years. The Seattle-based company has 300 service areas and will bring in 64 technicians and office workers here to answer house calls.

Company vice president of development Alex Roberts said one new service territory will be in St. Clair County and another in Madison County with approximately 60,000 households per service area. Plus, the company has added actor Richard Karn, better known for his role as Al Boreland on the TV sitcom Home Improvement, as its spokesman. The new tower is the third of four planned cell sites designed to enhance wireless coverage along the Highway 50 corridor between O'Fallon and Carlyle. U.S. Cellular already operates two cell sites near Carlyle and plans to build an additional tower near the north end of Carlyle Lake next year.
