Local Franchise Named Famous Dave's 'Restaurant Of The Year' For 2008

(Friday, April 04, 2008) - The Famous Dave's restaurant in Louisville, owned by Derby Dave's LLC, has won "Restaurant of the Year" honors at the Famous Dave's Franchise Partner Conference and General Manager Workshops in Minneapolis.

Derby Dave's owns and operates Famous Dave's restaurants at 8605 Citadel Way in Louisville and 1360 Veterans Parkway in Clarksville. Kelly Reeves is the Louisville manager.

The "Restaurant of the Year" award is based on rankings in comparable sales, overall guest satisfaction, overall secret shopper score average, and average score for an overall rating on quality assurance for food safety, workplace safety and consumer experience, according to a news release.

Derby Dave's has been a franchisee of Famous Dave's of America Inc. since 2003, employing about 180 people, according to the release. The franchise owner is Mark Naylor.
