Verlo Mattress Factory Stores Welcomes New Director Of Merchandising

(Monday, March 03, 2008) - Verlo Mattress Factory Stores corporate headquarters has recently
welcomed Scott Turke to the Home Office team.
Turke is Verlo's new director of merchandising/advertising and sales promotions. Turke is a
corporate marketing professional with vast experience in management, including product
management, advertising, sales promotions, marketing communications, direct marketing,
commercial printing, Internet marketing, trade show marketing and sales training. Prior to
Verlo, Turke was the national sales account manager for the Journal Broadcast Group in Green
Bay. His responsibilities included working directly with clients and local, regional and national
advertising agencies in the automotive, health care, banking, financial, telecommunications,
insurance, food, CPG and retail markets. He also executed national and local sales of Olympics,
NASCAR, college basketball and local sports sponsorships. Turke holds a Bachelor of Arts
degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
In his new position, Turke will assist in the design and development of all retail and
merchandising standards for all company retail programs and services. This will include POP,
in-store, décor, signage, product merchandising, staff-member appearance, hospitality and
selling interactions and retail promotions.
