National Survey Ranks RE/MAX Among Top Ten in Four Categories

(Wednesday, January 16, 2008) - RE/MAX International is the nation's
number one real estate franchise, and the number ten franchise overall,
according to Entrepreneur Magazine's 29th Annual "Franchise 500 Survey."
RE/MAX has held the honor of the top real estate franchisor for eight of
the past ten years.

The survey, which appears in this month's edition of Entrepreneur
Magazine ranks RE/MAX among the top ten in four different franchise
categories. In addition to being the tenth best of all franchises, the
Denver-based real estate franchisor was ranked number one in the low-cost
franchise category, number seven among global franchises, and number ten in
the fastest-growing franchise category.

All companies in the rankings are evaluated by the same criteria,
including financial strength and stability, size, growth rate, startup
costs and financing options. These and other factors are entered into the
Franchise 500 formula, with each eligible company receiving a cumulative
score.

The 2008 Franchise 500 Survey ranks RE/MAX 10th among all franchises.
Its closest competitor in the real estate industry was ranked in the 43rd
position.
