Fitness Franchise Beefs Up Locations

Sports nutrition company Max Muscle plans to expand in Jacksonville.
The addition of 8 to 10 area locations is part of plan that calls for 15 to 20 locations in North Florida and 500 total new franchises nationwide in the next five years. There are already nine Max Muscle locations in Florida, including one in Jacksonville at 13475 Atlantic Blvd.
The company has signed father-and-son team Bruce and Vince Bagni as regional directors to grow the brand and find franchisees in North Florida. They have acquired the rights to develop the territory that includes Daytona Beach, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Melbourne, Ocala, Tallahassee and the Florida Panhandle.
Other markets include Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.
Anaheim, Calif.-based Max Muscle sells nutritional supplements and athletic apparel through more than 100 franchise locations in the United States. The average location has 1,200 square feet.
