Sullivan Acquires Business Workshop Franchise

(Wednesday, December 05, 2007) - The Sullivan University System has acquired the Dale Carnegie Training franchise for Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Sullivan acquired the business from Bill Lea, who had owned the franchise for 12 years, according to Stephanie French, director of public relations for Sullivan. Lea has joined Sullivan and will manage the franchise for the university, she said.

Hauppauge, N.Y.-based Dale Carnegie Training offers seminars to businesses and organizations that aim to improve employee performance. The programs emphasize leadership, sales, team building, interpersonal relations, customer service, public speaking and management skills.

The Dale Carnegie franchise will be housed in Sullivan University's Nolan Building, the future home of Sullivan's College of Pharmacy.
