Moms With A Mission offer moms support and exercise opportunities

(Sunday, October 28, 2007) - Stroller Strides is in the business of offering support to moms throughout motherhood. In fact, its Moms With A Mission Program is geared to help raise awareness and funds for various charities throughout the country. With the fires in its own hometown headquarters, Stroller Strides is coming up with many ways for moms to get out and get involved. This week Stroller Strides is offering free classes for any mom who wants a workout at various indoor Westfield malls.

"One of the of the things that makes Stroller Strides so special is that it enables moms to take control of their health, while also showing them the power when moms get together for a cause. We know that so many moms in San Diego have been affected by the fires and we want to come up with every opportunity to help moms through this time in San Diego," said Lisa Druxman, owner and founder of Stroller Strides.

Westfield malls have generously offered their indoor locations so that we can offer moms free indoor workouts until it's safe to exercise outdoors. You don"™t even have to be a member of Stroller Strides to participate. Classes will take place at 9:00 a.m. this week, Monday through Friday at Plaza Bonita in National City, Plaza Camino Real in Carlsbad and North County Fair Mall in Escondido. Beyond the classes, Stroller Strides moms across the county are getting together making posters and food for firefighters, collecting goods for those of have lost their homes and by making supply contributions to the Emergency Operation Center (EOC).

Sally Bramstedt, San Diego Fitness Director says that this is an amazing opportunity to get out with your baby and bond with other moms during this time of crisis in San Diego. "Moms are needing ways to get in a little exercise and have some fun with their baby, so we hope that they will come out and try a class this week."�
