Naples-based Calistoga To Open Three More Cafes In Southwest Florida
(Wednesday, October 03, 2007) -
Calistoga Bakery Cafe, a Naples-based coffee house and sandwich shop, plans to open three new Southwest Florida locations soon. The cafe will open near the food court at Naples' Coastland Center in December, at Gulf Coast Town Center in Estero in early November and in Bonita Springs on U.S. 41 just south of the intersection with West Terry Street in the near future, said Lance Tucker, chief financial officer. Calistoga offers "an upscale sandwich shop, with a coffee and espresso bar" with free WiFi, free coffee refills and a relaxed atmosphere that encourages people to hang out, Tucker said. Partners Mark Bates, a Naples resident, and John Schnatter, former chief executive officer of Papa John's International, also plan to open cafes in Lexington and Louisville, Ky., in 2008. The cafe's first location at Vanderbilt Beach and Airport-Pulling Roads opened in the summer of 2004.
