Vapiano Names New Chief Operating Officer

(Thursday, September 27, 2007) - Vapiano, the award-winning European pizza, pasta and bar concept recently tapped Martin Luible as their new Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Luible, a key member from the Vapiano team responsible for all the record breaking openings throughout Europe, has relocated to the U.S. to oversee franchise operations.

"I am pleased to announce that Martin will be taking the reigns as Vapiano's COO,"� says Vapiano President, Kent Hahne. "His skills and background will be instrumental in helping steer our company to be the best it can be in the United States."�

Mr. Luible is a former financial analyst and investment banker who fell in love with Vapiano and joined the company 3 years ago. Prior to Vapiano he ran his own restaurant and grew it from 2 million to over 3 million in net sales before moving into more of a macro position and helping with the international franchise sales, coordination of vendors, food products and staffing of the new Vapiano restaurants.

"Martin's unique financial and analytical perspective has played a major role as Vapiano has perfected its operations and financial model,"� continues Hahne

Mr. Luible will oversee both the company owned operations as well as serve as the key contact for all the new Vapiano franchisees. His promotion comes on the heels of Vapiano's recent U.S. expansion efforts. As of September 2007, Vapiano has two corporately owned restaurants in the greater Washington DC area and two recently signed multi-unit franchising deals in Florida and Texas. Vapiano will continue to target Chicago, Miami and other key markets for corporate expansion and already has a number of prospective franchisees identified for supplementary markets across the country.
