Mediterranean Flair At Vapiano

(Friday, June 01, 2007) - Vapiano opened its second fresh casual restaurant in North America today at 1800 M St., NW, showcasing a modern Mediterranean scene for lunch, dinner, late dining and cocktails.

Vapiano's staff describes the spot as a "breakthrough concept in healthy urban dining." The restaurant uses fresh ingredients for bruschetta and beef carpaccio, and churns out fresh pasta daily. Guests order directly from Vapiano chefs by swiping a card provided at their table.

Try to Granchi di Fiume pizza with crayfish and lobster sauce or the Tonno Fresco with tender tuna and fresh vegetables, and pair it with one of the 22 wines available by the glass.

"Vapiano is an emotional fuel-stop for people that love a modern, authentic and fresh casual dining experience," says Kent Hahne, president of Vapiano International.

Vapiano's first North American outpost opening in Ballston (4401 Wilson Blvd.) in April and the company plans to open a third area restaurant in August at 623 H St., NW in the Gallery Place/Chinatown neighborhood.
