Famous Dave's Signs New Franchise Deal

(Friday, September 21, 2007) - Famous Dave's of America Inc. said Friday it would franchise rights to its Pit Bar-B-Que restaurants at locations in the southern United States.

Minnetonka-based Famous Dave's (Nasdaq: DAVE) said that Famous Ventures has purchased the right to franchise nine Famous Dave's Legendary Pit Bar-B-Que restaurants in Texas and Oklahoma.

Areas covered under terms of the agreement include West Texas, Fort Worth and San Antonio, Texas and Lawton, Okla., the company said in a statement.

The parent company to Famous Ventures, Exceptional Brands of Abilene, Texas, owns 11 Buffalo Wild Wings and Taco Bell restaurants throughout Texas and Oklahoma.

The Famous Dave's chain consists of 40 company-owned restaurants and 112 franchised locations.
