Advantaclean Awards First 6 Franchises

(Friday, December 01, 2006) - CHARLOTTE-based AdvantaClean Systems, Inc., one of the southeast's premier providers of environmental, air duct and emergency response services ,has sold its first six franchises to new franchise owners. The company kicked off its aggressive franchising campaign with the sale of its AdvantaClean Environmental and AdvantaClean Air Duct businesses in North Carolina's Mecklenburg, Lincoln and Gaston counties, with two franchise agreements in place in South Carolina's Greenville and Spartanburg counties, scheduled for opening in 2007.

New owners Ron Weatherly, Rob Pennebaker and Derik Newton look forward to expanding the AdvantaClean business throughout the Charlotte metro area and the Carolinas. "We believe there's a tremendous amount of potential," said Weatherly. "And the AdvantaClean brand already stands for top quality in environmental services."

"We're very pleased for Ron, Rob and Derik," said AdvantaClean Systems, Inc. president Jeff Dudan, who founded the company and has operated AdvantaClean's Charlotte and Orlando businesses since 1994. "We're confident that the Charlotte environmental and air duct businesses are in very good hands. We're looking forward to expanding our brand through our new locations. And we're excited about continuing to sell
new franchises."
A service leader in a rapidly growing field

AdvantaClean is a leader in the growing environmental services and emergency restoration industry. The company is seeking qualified and ambitious prospective owners to whom they can award franchises for their five lines of business: AdvantaClean Environmental, which provides professional mold and hazardous-material evaluation and remediation; AdvantaClean Air Duct, which responds to the growing public demand for clean air by providing residential and commercial duct and HVAC cleaning; AdvantaClean Plumbing, which offers comprehensive plumbing, drain unclogging and inspection services; AdvantaClean Heating and Air, which offers heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration services; and AdvantaClean Emergency Service, which delivers a full array of emergency response services, including 24-hour loss mitigation, water damage response and structural drying.

The company is planning to add ten additional franchises in 2006, and 24 in 2007. "This sale is a great opportunity for AdvantaClean Systems, Inc.," noted Dudan. "It gives us the opportunity to focus fully on adding new franchisees, providing the complete back-end support they need to succeed, and building the brand."
First-hand experience with AdvantaClean's
successful operation

New owner Weatherly has run his own Charlottebased Dry-Pro Basement Systems for seven years. "I've been doing work in basements and crawl spaces for a long time," he recounted. "And I've worked with AdvantaClean for a good part of that time. So I got to know just how outstanding those people are. They're totally reliable and they're committed to excellence. So of course, the moment the opportunity arose, I bought the businesses for myself."

Weatherly's fellow new franchise owners have their own positive perception of the company. Newton was AdvantaClean's production manager for over two years, and Pennebaker worked as an AdvantaClean salesperson. "These fellows have helped me build the business," said Dudan. "And Ron is a true entrepreneur. We're expecting big things from them—especially since they're so familiar with our business model."
A business model designed to increase
franchisee success

AdvantaClean's unique and highly successful business model was developed by Dudan over twelve years of running his own service businesses. "We've been able to identify the factors that cause small businesses to fail. With our business model, we've addressed those factors and developed some very effective solutions for them.

"Business owners who buy franchises are typically on their own when it comes to marketing and building their business," Dudan continued. "As the owner of a new business, you're already up against some pretty daunting odds. You have no idea how many calls you're missing when you're not there. You really can't tell what callers are being told or how effectively they're being sold. We take care of all that through our proprietary patent-pending e-CCM operating system and our central call facility."

AdvantaClean delivers total back-end support to franchisees. "We handle and process all the incoming calls, schedule appointments and wirelessly route the information straight to the field techs," said Dudan. "We provide the technology, the administrative support and the marketing. This improves our franchisees' sales effectiveness, eliminates substantial overhead and greatly increases profitability."
Giving small business owners all the advantages

"I know it works, because I've seen it work," added Newton. "It's an incredibly effective way to run a service business. And with the systems we have in place, we can really monitor and examine and adjust the business much more effectively and profitably."

"We couldn't possibly run the AdvantaClean operations without the comprehensive back-end support that the AdvantaClean model provides," Weatherly stated. "I know from experience—most new business owners have to plan on 12- to 16-hour workdays for the first few years. With the e-CCM operating system working for you around the clock, you can spend your days developing more business."

"The remarkable thing is it's virtually all wireless," said Pennebaker. "There's no endless paper trail, no office overhead, no administrative staff to hire and train. You just plug into the system and get to work."

The new owners have gotten off to a fast start, closing an air duct cleaning contract for over $52,000 at a country club in the first week since taking over the business. "We feel like this is definitely the start of something big," said Weatherly.

AdvantaClean Systems, Inc. welcomes inquiries from ambitious individuals interested in operating their own service business. "An AdvantaClean franchise is ideal for anyone with a desire to work for himself and create his own security," noted Weatherly. "It's the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to take advantage of this proven system and operate a successful business."
