Dryer Vent Wizard Awards N.c. Franchise
(Monday, September 10, 2007) -
Greg Longe, co-president of Dryer Vent Wizard, Dry Clothes, Safe Homes, announced the awarding of a DVW franchise in North Carolina.
Local resident and former Piedmont Natural Gas District Manager Jim Buie of Tarboro will service Northeast North Carolina.
Buie plans to concentrate his service initially to Wake County and the U.S. 64 corridor from Tarboro to Raleigh, but he will provide service wherever it is needed.
Dryer Vent Wizard, Dry Clothes, Safe Homes is a national franchise company specializing in dryer fire prevention and "urgent response" dryer and dryer vent maintenance, repair, replacement and alterations. According to the U.S. Fire Administration there are an average of 15,000 dryer fires in the U.S. with an about $88 million in property damage, up to 15 deaths and 400 injuries annually.
"Failure to clean" was cited as the leading factor contributing to clothes dryer fires in residential buildings. Similar reports by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, (CPSC), confirm annual maintenance of dryers and dryer vents as a home safety issue lacking consumer awareness.
Dryer Vent Wizard, Dry Clothes, Safe Homes provides "urgent response" solutions to the problem of dryers functioning inefficiently or not at all.
Founded in 2004 by David Lavalle in Boston, Massachusetts the company has awarded 50 franchises in major metro markets since franchising began in March 2005. Other DVW North Carolina franchise locations besides Northeast N.C. include the Charlotte area. For more information call 866-498-SAFE or visit www.dryerventwizard.com.
