Pizza Hut In Japanese Anime Tie-in

(Friday, September 07, 2007) - Pizza Hut has launched a campaign tied to the Evangelion: 1.0 You Are [Not] Alone movie remake in Japan on Thursday. Each customer who orders a medium-sized pizza will get an Evangelion: 1.0 pizza box while supplies last. Pizza Hut Club members will get an Evangelion 1.0 wallpaper for personal computers. Finally, customers that order online can enter to win one of 50 life-size Rei Ayanami cardboard stand-ups. All of the prizes feature designs exclusive to Pizza Hut.

The campaign runs from September 6 to October 17. Pizza Hut previously sponsored Sunrise's Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion military robot anime series with in-animation product placement, and the current Evangelion movie also credits Pizza Hut for promotional consideration.
