A Sure Sign Of Summer's End

WHITBY (Tuesday, September 04, 2007) - Time to trade in your sandals for ice skates.
Liza Homes hosts a free public back-to-school skate Saturday, Sept. 8, at the McKinney Centre.

The first skate of the season takes place from 2:15 to 4:15 p.m. at Liza Homes Arena 1. The local developer has hosted the event for three years.

"We were pleasantly surprised to see so many people out last year when the weather was still so hot," said Carol Tobin, director of marketing and sales for Liza Homes.

"There were lots of people skating in shorts! They're obviously enthusiastic for the skating season to begin."

Free Panago Pizza slices, special treats and surprises will also be available for families.
