Pizza Inn Operator Receives National Franchise Honor
HOBBS (Wednesday, August 08, 2007) -
The operator of a local pizza chain has been honored as the company's top national franchise holder.
Michael Moore, of Hobbs, is the recipient of the Pizza Inn 2007 Franchisee of the Year Award.
Moore was recognized with the award, which honors the pizza restaurant chain's outstanding operator for the last 12 months, at the organization's recent franchise convention in Williamsburg, Va.
Moore and his wife CaraBeth began their career with Pizza Inn in 1997, when they opened their first restaurant in Hobbs. The couple subsequently acquired two additional Pizza Inn restaurants in Carlsbad and most recently opened Pizza Inn Lanes and Games in Artesia, integrating the brand's newest buffet restaurant design with a family-oriented game room and bowling alley.
"I want to recognize the managers and the staff for all their hard work," Moore told the Current-Argus Wednesday. "They're the ones manning the stores day in and day out. We stress working together: it pays off."
In an earlier news release, he discussed his feelings about the award.
"I am truly humbled and honored to receive this recognition from Pizza Inn," he said. "I would also like to thank the team at Pizza Inn, Inc. My partners at corporate are a constant source of support and encouragement, and have helped me offer the best products and services to our customers." Company officials also had praise for the Moores.
"Michael and his family's passion is evident to everybody who knows him," said Pizza Inn President and CEO Tim Taft. "His spirit of teamwork and impressive sales are a fine example of how to run a successful Pizza Inn franchise. It's this special combination that makes him an invaluable part of the Pizza Inn team today and in the future."
