THREE CHEERS Home Buyer Lauds Inspection Firm

(Tuesday, February 15, 2005) - When Michelle Gallant was looking for a house last fall, she hired Russell Cook of Canadian Residential Inspection Services Ltd. of Dartmouth to help her out. Cook inspected three houses for her, including the one she eventually bought. She says she expected a technical assessment of each home, and she got that. What she wasn't expecting was the advice he gave her about heating, plumbing and wiring of the older home; and a work plan for maintenance and repairs that covers the next five years. Gallant says Cook gets high marks for his professionalism, thoroughness and value.
