Fatburger Rolls Into Vancouver's Happening Entertainment And Business Zone

VANCOUVER, BC (Sunday, March 04, 2007) - Hungry folks heading to Vancouver's happening Crosstown district to cheer on the Vancouver Canucks in GM Place, to attend Queen Elizabeth Theatre concerts, or to shop at the urban COSTCO, can now join Vancouver Community College students, businesspeople, and local residents alike in relishing another sensory experience here.
It's all because Fatburger, the iconic burger outfit that single-handedly redefined the hamburger more than a half-century ago down in L.A. and the burger of choice for many of Hollywood's and the professional sports world's elite, has just opened in a 1,360-square-foot corner location at #105, 111 Dunsmuir Street next to Ricky's All Day Grill.
So when they find themselves in this entertainment, business and residential centre, they can enjoy some of Canada's tastiest new offerings, a delicious Fatburger, Kingburger or other menu item at the first Fatburger in Canada that is licensed to serve alcoholic beverages, too.
The location has been transformed into a burger eater's paradise replete with Fatburger's famous retro styling as well as up-to-the-minute technology. Approximately 20 crewmembers are employed at the site, which can conveniently seat up to 28 guests inside and on an outside patio.

Veteran Canadian restaurant industry executive Frank Di Benedetto of the Ricky's All Day Grill restaurant chain and Frankie's Burger Enterprises is the visionary businessman behind Fatburger in Canada and the newest Vancouver location. The city's vibrant West End community is home to the first Fatburger restaurant in Canada, which Frank opened in 2005.

By yearend, Di Benedetto will have seven Fatburger restaurants open in Western Canada, including the new Crosstown location. Other locations already open include the Deerfoot Meadows lifestyle dining and shopping centre in Calgary, Langley's Willowbrook Corner retail power centre, and Vancouver's West End. Coming soon are Fatburger restaurants in North Vancouver, Edmonton, and Prince George. He plans to further expand the chain's presence in Western Canada over the next few years. Fatburger is also the official hamburger of the Canadian Football League's BC Lions.
In true Fatburger style, the crew belts out the "Fatburger!" chorus from the open kitchen each time a burger is ordered, while a great time is assured with entertaining features like plasma TV sets and a jukebox playing today's hits and the classics of yesterday.
But the real heart of every Fatburger restaurant is the food that's served. That's why to ensure customer satisfaction, each Fatburger, Kingburger, Turkeyburger and Chicken Sandwich is grilled immediately only after it is ordered. No burgers will be growing old under heat lamps here. A wide selection of toppings, including cheese, bacon, egg, or chili, are available so that customers may garnish their Fatbuger or other sandwich to their taste.
