About Earl of Sandwich: The sandwich was named after its inventor, the 4th Earl of Sandwich in 1762. As head of the mighty British Navy and lover of day long card games, he literally had his hands full! His brilliant idea of putting meat between two slices of bread solved our quick food problems. Today, the Sandwich family is headed by John Montagu, the 11th Earl of Sandwich. The collaboration between the 11th Earl of Sandwich, his son The Right Honorable Orlando Montagu, Robert Earl, and Michael Grodi has resulted in a unique franchise opportunity in fast-casual dining. The menu includes among its 16 hot sandwiches a delicious roast beef sandwich, made with Certified Angus beef, slow roasted at the restaurant, fresh baked goods, and tasty hand-tossed salads. In the Orlando area, Earl of Sandwich is located in Downtown Disney. Franchise opportunities are available nationwide.
