Donatos Pizza Celebrates New Store Opening With Family Funfest

Indianapolis' 28th Donatos location opens in Franklin Township June 26

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (Wednesday, June 20, 2007) - Donatos Pizza, the founder of Edge-to-Edge® pizza, will open the doors of its newest location in Franklin Township, Tuesday, June 26. The new restaurant is located at 5650 South Franklin Road and features the brand's new dining concept, which includes an expanded menu, innovative store design and new brand logo.

"We're happy to continue expanding our presence in Indianapolis to better meet the needs of the communities we serve," said Todd Young, district operations manager.

The Franklin Township location will showcase Donatos' cutting-edge store look with contemporary interior elements like bold wall colors and distinctive graphics. The store boasts architectural features, including an open kitchen, full-length windows, and a stylized menu wall, as well as a convenient "D to Go" drive-up window. The location also features Donatos' new logo – an angular, red "D" at a 45-degree tilt – which signifies the brands' new overall modern feel and is a current reflection of the company's personality. The new store concept originated in Columbus, Ohio in 2005, with new stores opening in Indianapolis, Dayton and Cincinnati in 2006.

The South Franklin Road location will welcome customers with Family Funfest, Saturday, June 23 from noon to 5 p.m. The festivities will include music from Radio Disney, games and other family-friendly activities; 50 percent of menu sales will be donated to the Franklin Central Band Boosters to aid in the purchase of a semi-trailer for the band.

"Donatos Pizza has become a valued member of the Indianapolis community," said Young. "We hope to continue this tradition here in Franklin Township with this and many more community fundraisers."
