Era Real Estate Welcomes 24 New Affiliate Companies To Its Global Network In The First Half Of 2007

Network adds 12 new affiliates in second quarter; matching first quarter growth

(Friday, August 03, 2007) - ERA Real Estate announced today that its franchise system has experienced substantial growth in the first six months of 2007 as 24 new affiliates joined its global network. Twelve new affiliates joined the network in the second quarter, covering 10 states. In addition, 11 existing ERA franchisees expanded their operations in the second quarter through mergers and acquisitions or by opening new offices, raising the year-to-date count of ERA affiliates having expanded their operations to 25. Among the second quarter growth highlights were network expansions in Florida, with two new affiliate signings and five existing ERA franchises reporting operational expansions.


"Although the real estate market in many areas of the country is still in transition, our recent affiliations clearly show that the ERA System continues to attract top real estate professionals who are looking for an edge in today's home sales market," said Brenda W. Casserly, president and chief executive officer of ERA Franchise Systems LLC. ERA Elite Ventures Realty of Columbus, Ga., provides an excellent case study of a new brokerage looking to quickly establish itself as a leader in its market by leveraging its affiliation with ERA Real Estate. Kia Chambers, broker/owner; Travis Chambers, CEO and founder; and Dequindrae Hartnett, CFO; agree that the ERA System offers the necessary tools to help facilitate the firm's growth plans in the Columbus market.

Also new to the ERA network is ERA Cusick Realty of Ventura, Calif., headed by husband and wife management team Alan and Deborah Cusick, who have over 40 years of real estate experience between them. The firm opened its doors on June 1, 2007 and serves Southern California's gold coast communities between Malibu and Santa Barbara. The firm plans to expand its operations in the future.


The company researched a host of real estate franchise opportunities before deciding to join ERA Real Estate. "We wanted to start with a clean slate and to also bring on agents with good ethics," said Deborah Cusick.


Alan noted that after having discussions with ERA officials at the franchise's convention earlier this year in Las Vegas, the company chose ERA Real Estate due to its extensive training programs as well as the fact that ERA Cusick would be the only ERA franchise in the region.


The training and marketing tools ERA Real Estate provides are not only attractive to the company's principals, but to its agents as well. "The agents are extremely excited because they now have tools to work with that are better than ever before," Deborah Cusick related.
