Papa John's Appoints New Board Member

(Monday, June 25, 2007) - Papa John's International Inc. has appointed Alex W. Smith to the company's board of directors.

Smith, 54, is the chief executive officer of Pier 1 Imports Inc.. Prior to Pier 1, Mr. Smith spent 12 years with the TJX Companies Inc., a retailer of apparel and home fashions in the United States under brands such as T.J. Maxx and Marshalls, and internationally with brand names such as T.K. Maxx in the UK.
