Pizza Nova Raises A Record $65,166 For Variety-the Children's Charity

Pizza Nova's That's Amore Pizza for Kids May 10/05 fundraising event garnered $65,166, the largest amount ever in its six-year history. An estimated 40,000 customers were lined out the doors of Pizza Nova's southern Ontario locations to purchase a medium pepperoni pizza for $3.99 and support a good cause. Pizza Nova donated $1. from each pizza to Variety – The Children's Charity. Said Pizza Nova's Vice President of Marketing, Domenic Primucci, "We are thrilled with the record turnout this year, thanks to our loyal customers and hardworking employees. In just 10 hours, we sold 65,166 medium pepperoni pizzas, the equivalent of over 6,500 pizzas an hour. Our $65,166. donation to Variety will bring our six year total to over $353,000. "Pizza Nova is committed to continuing our partnership with Variety, supporting programs and services to help fund their programs and services for children with special needs in Ontario," he added.
