Usbl Awards Finalists Announced

(Wednesday, June 13, 2007) - The United States Basketball League (USBL) has announced the finalists for its 2007 yearly awards. The recipients will be announced at the Post-Season Championship in Enid, OK later this month.

Each team was asked to nominate up to three people for each award. Those receiving the most nominations comprise the final awards ballot.

Most Valuable Player:

Ronald Ross – Albany Patroons
Anthony Richardson – Kansas Cagerz
Chris Sockwell – Dodge City Legend

Defensive Player of the Year:

Jamar Howard – Dodge City Legend
Deng Gai – Albany Patroons
Ronald Ross – Albany Patroons

Coach of the Year:

Dale Osbourne – Dodge City Legend
Patrick O'Herron – Albany Patroons
Cliff Levingston – Gary Steelheads

6th Man of the Year:

Kareem Reid – Albany Patroons
Elvin Mims – Dodge city Legend
Brendan Plavich – Kansas Cagerz

Rookie of the Year

Charles Ramsdell – Oklahoma Storm
Adam Schaper – Gary Steelheads
Isaiah Hunter – Brooklyn Kings

Executive of the Year:

Carroll Long – Kansas Cagerz
Jim Coyne – Albany Patroons
Kevin Spudic – Gary Steelhead
