Tropical Smoothie Café Kicks off Summer with ‘National Flip Flop Day'

(Thursday, June 07, 2007) - As a way to kick off the start of summer, Tropical Smoothie Café, a fast casual dining chain that specializes in real-fruit smoothies and gourmet sandwiches, announced today the official launch of a new summer holiday – National Flip Flop Day. On June 21st, in honor of blue skies and warm sunshine, café patrons visiting any of the company's 245 nationwide locations are encouraged to wear their favorite flip flop sandals to celebrate the beginning of summer.

Jenrich noted that the first 500 customers who come in to a Tropical Smoothie Café wearing flip flops on June 21st will receive a free 24-oz. Jetty Punch™ smoothie.



Café employees will be wearing spirited t-shirts and buttons with flip flop insignias to build excitement for the June 21st event. The brand, which enjoys the tropical spirit year-round, is eager to start summer on the right foot and get their customers into a tropical frame of mind.
