Maggiemoo's Launches New Line Of Fruit Smoothies For The Health-conscious Consumer

As the temperature rises this summer, so does demand for cool treats. MaggieMoo's International, a super-premium ice cream brand known for introducing innovative frozen treats, announced today the launch of its new line of low-fat, lactose free, fresh ice cream and fruit smoothies - "Zoomers(TM)". Made with fresh fruit and available in six flavors, Zoomers(TM) are loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and fiber - offering a healthy option for people on the go.
MaggieMoo's conducted blind taste tests with consumers and found that 67 percent preferred a tasty, low-fat smoothie to a non-fat smoothie. "Consumers are demanding a great tasting low-fat option. We created our first low-fat offering with the new line of Zoomers(TM) Fresh Smoothies to meet these needs and to provide the perfect centerpiece of a wholesome lunch or mid-day snack," said Debbie Benedek, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing for MaggieMoo's International. Available at Treateries nationwide beginning May 23, 2007, the new Zoomers line-up is offered in four flavors: strawberry banana, creamy mango, mocha coffee and caramel coffee. It also includes two Super Zoomers(TM) flavors: raspberry pomegranate and triple berry pomegranate. Each flavor is available in three sizes - small, regular and large.
Made with fresh berries and pomegranate juice, Super Zoomers(TM) help consumers get their fill of healthy antioxidants, nutrients and enzymes believed to reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease and stroke. Additionally, in the large size, Super Zoomers(TM) have at least the 1 1/2 to 2 cups of the USDA Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of fruit servings per day.
Four Zoomers(TM) flavors contain natural fruits high in vitamin C such as strawberries and orange juice. Vitamin C offers numerous health benefits from strengthening the immune system to reducing the risk of certain cancers.
