Pizza Pizza Serves Up Summer Treats With Arrival Of Steak And Mango Toppings

(Tuesday, August 08, 2006) - The aroma of steaks on the grill and the delicious taste of fresh mangos are reminders the summer season is in full swing. The sizzle and sweetness of summer have also arrived at Pizza Pizza restaurants across the province, with the addition of steak and mango to the list of more than 35 toppings at Canada's leading pizza maker.

"Adding these two items is a natural,"said Pat Finelli, Vice-President of Marketing at Pizza Pizza. "Both of these food products are extremely popular among consumers. Grilling steaks on the barbecue is synonymous with the pleasures of summer, and we have been working for the last two years to develop the right ingredients to produce that same right-off-the-grill taste.

"Mangos, meanwhile, have worldwide appeal, and consumers, especially those in multicultural communities, should be very receptive to the addition of Mexico's finest mangos to our broad variety of toppings. Mangos are the perfect summer treat as a pizza topping."

The introduction of these new ingredients reflects Pizza Pizza's concerted effort to expand its customer base. The company has over time catered to an ever-expanding group of customers, especially different cultural groups and consumers seeking healthy and balanced alternatives.
