Over $150,000 raised for the Make-A-Wish Foundation ® of Canada

(Sunday, January 07, 2007) - The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a highly recognized international wish granting organization with affiliates in 32 countries worldwide. Dedicated to granting the wishes of children between the ages of three and 17 with life-threatening illnesses, the Make-A-Wish Foundation strives to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. To date, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has granted over 127,000 wishes worldwide and over 1,800 wishes to Canadian children. The Make-A-Wish Foundation ® of Canada has eight Chapters across Canada and is granting more than 25 wishes per month. In addition to granting wishes free from financial concern, the Make-A-Wish Foundation works hard to ensure that each wish is personal and that each wish involves the entire family. With all wishes, the family is a large part of the wish experience, given that parents and siblings often need magical moments just as much as the wish children themselves.

One of the primary reasons we have chosen Make-A-Wish as our national charity of choice is because of their commitment to community. This organization is one of the best for spending the dollars raised on helping out families and they spend the dollars in the communities they are raised in.

In the past we have held charity golf tournaments, sold specialty items and had in-store donation boxes to support Make-A-Wish. HUMPTY'S CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT - This year's tournament was a great day of fun and fundraising for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® . We are pleased to have raised over $35,000 from this one day event. Thank you to all our suppliers, volunteers and participants for helping us...Share The Power Of A Wish®.

Make-A-Wish Foundation ® representatives Karen Dick and Dave Stinton presented a plaque of appreciation to Humpty's Restaurants International Inc's Don Koenig and Lisa Attewell. Humpty's was pleased to present Karen and Dave with a cheque for the 2006 fundraising efforts.
