Fastway Couriers - Annual Conference

(Wednesday, August 30, 2006) - Fastway Couriers (Canada) held its annual conference on August 26th & 27th 2006 at the Sandalwood Suited Hotel Toronto Airport. The conference was attended by all Canadian Regional Franchises and representatives of the Canadian Franchise Support Office.

The theme of this year's conference was "Profitable Partnerships". Profitable Partnerships talks of the cycle that franchisees & franchisors progress through during their tenure within a franchise system. Doug Faulkner, President of Fastway Canada, addressed the Canadian franchisees on this subject. The weekend was filled with discussion and presentations on related topics such as; Sales & Marketing – presented by Michael Sharpe, Franchise Support – presented by Roger Moras and Franchise Development – presented by Kalon Fairclough.

At the start of the conference the winners of the 2005 Courier franchise, Regional franchise and Salesperson of the year were announced. The winners of these awards were:
Regional Franchisee of the Year-: Jamie & Mary-Anne Turner – Fastway Hamilton
Courier Franchisee of the Year-: Bill Sloan – Fastway Vancouver
Salesperson of the Year-: Lise Beaulieu – Fastway Barrie

On Saturday evening it was time to unwind and enjoy and delicious meal at a local Mississauga Japanese Steakhouse. A great time was had by everyone!

Fastway Couriers was founded in 1983, and began franchising just one year later. Currently, Fastway is operating in 11 countries worldwide with 104 regional franchises and over 1500 courier franchises worldwide. Fastway Couriers Canada operates in Toronto (GTA), Hamilton, Barrie, London, Oshawa, Calgary, Niagara, Edmonton and Kitchener Regions and continues to award Courier Franchise territories.
