newest bulk- trash removal service, recently collected more than 200 pairs
of brand new tennis shoes while removing unwanted items from a local
athletic shoe warehouse. Opposed to the idea of discarding the sneakers,
CHHJ donated them to the annual Easter Basket Drive sponsored by
Orlando-based radio station XL 106.7.

Carrying a retail value of more than $5,000, the shoes will benefit the
local chapters of the Harbor House, Meals on Wheels and the Coalition for
the Homeless. "We are very thankful that people such as Mr. Ansari believe
in donating to the unfortunate, hopefully others will be inspired by his
actions," states Meg Quinlivan, development director for the Harbor House.
"At College Hunks Hauling Junk, we remove people's unwanted items on a
daily basis and are very familiar with the phrase 'one man's trash is
another man's treasure,'" said Faisal Ansari, CHHJ's Orlando franchise
owner. "As a Central Florida native and new business owner, it is very
rewarding to have the opportunity to give back to the community that I have
such a strong connection with."
Founding his Orlando-based franchise in 2007, Ansari owns and operates
the area's only CHHJ. Along with participating in corporate philanthropy
efforts, the franchise proudly donates usable items and products from job
sites to local charities.
