Max & Erma's Getting Out The Grill For Summer Promo

(Monday, May 15, 2006) - Forget about dragging out the grill and charcoal this summer. Relax, Max & Erma's will take care of the grilling for you! This summer's specials will feature a variety of grilled favorites. The items debuting on the summer menu are: • Grill steak skewer: This herb-marinated sirloin is all U.S.D.A. prime cut. • Citrus-marinated shrimp skewer: Gulf shrimp marinated and glazed in a sweet, orange-chili sauce. • Pineapple-soy marinated chicken breast: Caribbean grilled. Guests will be able to enjoy any two of the entrees for $12.99, or all three for $15.99. Also, guests can substitute a third of a rack of ribs to the combination for $2. Each meal comes with the new Fire and Ice salad, "baked potato" potato salad and cornbread. The salad includes marinated Roma tomatoes, English cucumbers, red onion and red peppers in a home-made tangy vinaigrette dressing. MORE Pg. 2 Grillin' Promotion "This is part of our new approach to varying our menu and separating ourselves from other casual dining restaurants," said Erin Reckner, director of marketing for Max & Erma's. "We're changing up our menu every few months and this is our summer version. We expect it to be very popular." Max & Erma's is also unveiling its summer drink specials. One of the new items on the drink menu is Max's Mojitos, which is a refreshing combination of rum, Mojito syrup, mint leaves and club soda. Each drink is then customized to taste with Key West mint, desert pear or sour green apple. Non-alcoholic drinks will include watermelon lemonade, the Flamingo Fizz, a creation made with lemon-lime soda, watermelon syrup and cherries, and four flavors of milk shakes, including Oreo. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Max & Erma's entered its fourth decade in business in 2003. From a single, neighborhood restaurant that opened in 1972 in the German Village section of Columbus, Max & Erma's has grown to more than 100 company-owned and franchise casual dining restaurants.
