Max & Erma's Annual Charity Donations Totaled Half-million Plus

(Sunday, December 31, 2006) - Charitable donations from Max & Erma's (MAXE) "FUN-draisers" in fiscal 2006 totaled $509,070, company CEO Todd Barnum announced today. "We strongly believe in supporting the organizations in our local neighborhoods," Barnum said. "These are the people who dine in our restaurants and it's important to be an active partner in those communities." The FUN-draisers benefit schools, churches and other non-profit organizations. During the events, Max & Erma's donates a percentage of sales generated by the group's supporters to the organization. More than a thousand non-profit organizations participated in the FUN-draisers at corporate-owned restaurants between Nov. 1, 2005, and Oct. 31. The largest single-day FUN-draiser beneficiary was the Tempo Club of Fairfield High School, near Cincinnati, which earned $1,586. Organizations wishing to participate in a FUN-draising event can obtain additional information on the Max & Erma's website at www.maxandermas.com and click on "Fundraiser and Donation Requests." Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Max & Erma's entered its fourth decade in business in 2003. From a single, neighborhood restaurant that opened in 1972 in the German Village section of Columbus, Max & Erma's has grown to more than 100 company-owned and franchise casual dining restaurants. Max & Erma's grew up in the Heartland, but its footprint now extends from the East Coast to Nevada, and Green Bay to Atlanta.
