Tea Merchants Opt For Riddles Sweets

(Tuesday, March 06, 2007) - Tea merchants Cargo & James has acquired a sweet tooth to go along with its growing tea and coffee retailing enterprise.

The company has acquired Riddles Sweet Impressions Inc., an Edmonton-based choclatier. Riddles, which sells high-end chocolates through select hotels and retailers across Canada, has a 10,000-square-foot production facility on the south side, which will now also house C&J's tea-blending and wholesale operation.

Cargo & James, begun in 2001, has four Edmonton retail locations and also operates the eight-location McBean's coffee shops in Alberta and B.C.
